Background
I started as a Broker 1984 for Pru-Bache Securities. Fast forward to last 25 years...moved to Orange County from No Cal by First Interstate Investment Management (First Interstate Bank) to be the Area Investment Manager for OC, San Diego and Riverside counties. 1 year later Wells Fargo purchased First Interstate. I was a Regional Manager for Wells Private Client Services in a variety of territories for 4 years and a "Private Client Manager" (salesperson). Recruited from Wells to be the Principal of So Cal by State Street Global Advisors.
I went to Mellon and it became BNY Mellon during my tenure there. I was there for 9 ½ years as a Sr. Director (salesperson). Was ranked #2 in the state and #5 in the county for BNY Mellon. Was recruited away to be SVP, National Sales Manager for BNP Paribas Wealth Management US (Bank of the West). Big job and a lot of people. My boss, President of the group had an impasse with the President of the bank and resigned. New President of group comes in and I'm not one of his guys (Corp Politics). He reduced my position into Regional President roles. I could have taken the OC Regional Role or a check....I chose the check. Went to First Republic Wealth Management and Managing Director of OC. Left after 2 years. Very transnational environment and not client driven. Was not a good fit. By myself now for the last 7 years+ and my approach/offering and the why is Tax and Risk Mitigation.
